SimaPro Multi User |
|||
|
LCA project teams will enhance their productivity when they can share data in one central database and simultaneously work in the same projects. This is all possible in the SimaPro multi user version. The multi user version has the same features as the Analyst version, plus extra features needed for sound database management in a multi user environment. It also comes with the same inventory databases and impact assessment methods. Access rights The multi user version is set up in such a way that the database manager can keep full responsibility for the quality of all data, by being able to control access of the database by other users. The manager has access to all data and can control the access of other users to the data, by defining access rights to SimaPro functions. These are saved as user types. When creating a user, the manager chooses a login, password and assigns a user type. Editing data To maintain data integrity, only the manager can edit data in the libraries. Other users can use the data but are not able to edit. A user can copy a process from a process database to his/her own project and edit the process there. Editing data in projects is one of the items that can be defined in the user types. The manager can create project managers, that have similar rights as the manager concerning the editing of projects and libraries. Technical detailsThe multi user version runs as a client-server system over TCP/IP and IPX networks. The server must be a computer with a Windows operating system, Novell servers are not supported. Order informationAll SimaPro versions can be ordered with the SimaPro fax order form. A first year service contract is included with indefinite licenses. This ensures you of regular database and software updates. Service contracts must be renewed each year. Temporary licenses are available for (multiples of) 2 or 12 months. Service is included for the license period. After the license has finished, the software will run in demo mode: you can still access and print your data, but no longer edit it.
