SimaPro Compact for quick results
If ease of use, quick learning and an intelligent design are your main criteria, choose the Compact version. It is built for reliable results with limited effort. Powerful Wizards assist you managing complex tasks, while all results remain completely transparent.
The Compact version has all the functionality to perform a full LCA study. If you look for more specialized features, such as parameterized modeling and scenario analysis, or Monte Carlo analysis the SimaPro 7 Analyst may be a better choice.

SimaPro Analyst for detailed LCA studies
If advanced features, transparency and flexibility are your main criteria, choose the Analyst version. It is built for the LCA expert that wants to assess every detail of the LCA he/she is making. It supports parameterized modeling, and comes with advanced analytical features including parameter based scenario analysis and Monte Carlo analysis.
For those that want create their own Wizards, or want to link with other software tools, we have the SimaPro 7 Developer available.

Note that all new indefinite licenses come with a free one year service contract, which gives you access to software and database updates as well as our helpdesk.
For educational use we offer special versions at reduced prices.
Temporary licenses
SimaPro can be purchased as indefinite license or as a temporary license. A temporary license is an ideal solution if:
| you want to test SimaPro before purchasing an indefinite license, or want to run a first LCA project and investigate if it is a useful tool. |
| you need temporary expansion of the capacity to run a complex LCA project. This is especially useful with a multi-user version. |
| you want a temporary upgrade to a higher version (for example the Developer version, to develop Wizards) |
After expiration of a temporary license the software will run in demo mode: you can still access and print your data, but no longer edit them.
Temporary licenses come with a service contract included.
Database
To get started with your LCA projects, SimaPro comes inclusive of several inventory databases with thousands of processes, plus the most important impact assessment methods. You do not have to spend time on collecting general data, and you can focus on the important issues of your study.
Australian LCA data from years of work from Centre for Design and other SimaPro users is incorporated into the Australian Unit Process Database. All data are disaggregated and many include uncertainty information and detailed documention. Note that all LCA data need to be treated with care to determine if they are suitable and sufficient for your puposes.

PRé Consultants is reseller of the ecoinvent 2 database, an up to date database with 4000+ processes. This database is fully integrated in all professional versions!
